How it works

New for 2009: the largest number of sessions to choose from ever

The scope and focus of the event is to involve you, the participants, as much as possible to create a “Learning Conference”.  All recent research within the area of conference design indicates that people do not learn just because they are given pieces of information. Dialogue, interaction and active participation are all elements that enhance the learning process.  The idea at the 2009 Best Practice Showcase, is to implement some of these features of modern event programming into our programme and provide you with a unique conference format with interactive high intensity sessions and tremendous networking opportunities.

In 2009 the event will offer delegates the widest range of round table (Birds of a Feather) sessions ever.  Running in five different time slots throughout the day the round tables will cover a very wide range of topics including: risk management, benefits realisation, soft skills, people issues, maturity models, whole life costing, training and competences and many many more. With over 100 different sessions to choose from throughout the day, you are certain to find the right sessions for you and your colleagues, whatever your level of interest or current job.

In addition to this a range of round table discussion sessions there will be a programme of parallel seminars running alongside.  These will be presented by your follow project, programme and resource directors and will follow a case study format, highlighting pitfalls to avoid and lessons learned from direct experience. Click here to view the full programme of seminars.
